The Ted Corbitt 50K

The Black Men Run NYC/The NYC Way organizes an annual 50K Tribute Run in honor of Ted Corbitt, the father of American long-distance running. Participants can choose between in-person and virtual participation, with medals and shirts distributed after all completions are verified. This homage takes runners through 'Ted Corbitt Way' in the Bronx, reflecting Corbitt's regular training distance. The event includes a bag check service and encourages participation in the preservation of Black history in running. Note that it is not a timed race and adjustments may occur due to weather or construction.
