Goodyear Education 5K

In 1992, Ed Steffey, a key figure in both Goodyear and the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce, initiated education grants to fund local classroom projects. Leveraging Goodyear's golf course, they launched a tournament, with proceeds supporting these grants. By 2007, Bennett Gobble introduced a race at the Goodyear Golf Course, directing all funds raised to educational initiatives. Collectively, the initiatives have successfully raised over $300,000 for education projects, showcasing how community and business partnerships can concretely support educational advancement.
