SEASONS OF ROTHROCK RACE INFORMATION:
Are you excited about exploring the natural beauty of Pennsylvania on a bicycle? If yes, then we invite you to discover the breathtaking Rothrock State Forest on its gravel roads and singletrack trails, while building long-lasting friendships in a supportive and passionate community. Come and witness what Happy Valley and its cycling community have to offer. Join us for the Seasons of Rothrock Race Series and participate in one or all of the four races. By taking part in these races, you will be supporting a community that emphasizes the fun and social aspects of racing while creating local events that belong on the national stage.
The Seasons of Rothrock is a series of races in the Rothrock State Forest, showcasing the beauty of all four seasons through gravel and mountain bike racing. The first three races are held in spring and early summer, taking riders through Alan Seeger and Bear Meadows Natural Areas, Tussey Mountain, and Whipple Dam via challenging gravel roads and double-track trails. This year, we will host a Greenwood Furnace State Park race and award points for the Mid-Atlantic Super Series. The fourth session of the race occurs in December and requires traversing Tussey Mountain, which includes the well-known Three Bridges, on demanding single-track trails that are rocky and rooty. We celebrate the winter season during this event and get into the festive spirit by wearing holiday-themed attire and attaching bells to our bikes as a tribute to those unable to ride with us.
Our organization strives to host top-notch events prioritizing safety, entertainment, competitiveness, and inclusivity. Our primary goal is to ensure that every racer has a great experience. Whether you're a professional or amateur cyclist, we welcome you to participate in our events. You don't need any USAC or other licenses to join. Regardless of your age, skill level, or personal identity, we are committed to ensuring you have an exceptional racing experience that will leave you wanting to return year after year with your loved ones and friends!

Since 2021, we have donated $54,000 to community programs by allocating 100% of the net proceeds from GRIT entry fees to these initiatives. In the past, several organizations have benefited from the participants' contributions, including Nittany Mountain Bike Association, Harvest Fields Community Trails, National Interscholastic Cycling Association, Highpoint Skate Park, Girls Rock, YMCA, Friends of Rothrock, Center Volunteers in Medicine and PennysValley Pedals and Pints.
We are grateful for the support of our sponsors and supporters and our dedicated members and volunteers who make all the difference. We appreciate the commitment of many people to help grow, strengthen families, and build stronger, healthier, and safer cycling communities.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, so we encourage participants to purchase race-day insurance from Bike Reg. If you do not purchase insurance and must cancel before online registration closes, we can only provide a 50% refund. Unfortunately, we do not offer deferrals.
