Last year's long course map is available here. (Finalized 2024 course map to come)
Our 70K* options offer a lighter versions of the Williamsport Iron Cross loop that keep you on gravel and pavement with only a little bit of pretty light singletrack to keep it interesting. You'll be on and off the main loop, with the 70k option taking a route through the Tiagdagton State Forest that catches miles of great gravel while avoiding the trickier singletrack and the Iron Cross run-up. Last year's short course map is available here. (Finalized 2024 course map to come)
Both courses finishes on the ridge below Williamsport and provide a long, smooth, fun, 5 mile descent back into South Williamsport to spin out the legs, recover, and regale your riding buddies - or whoever happens to be close by - with your Iron Cross Adventure.
About that long course? If you like a bit of everything - and we mean everything. If you like to suffer a bit. If you want to wake up the next day feeling like you just kicked the world's ass. Hell, if you just want some damn good food and beer after a heck of a day on a bike, we're your huckleberry.
Iron Cross says, "The high speed paved descents are for the road bike in me, miles of superlative gravel and that killer "run-up" is for the cross bike in me, but three or four miles of fun singletrack is for the mountain bike in me!"
Iron Cross rolls from South Williamsport's municipal park, the home to the most famous little baseball fields in the world, and will finish a few miles outside of town with a heck of a final dirt climb at the end of the day. Post race celebration at the Brickyard Restaurant and Ale House in downtown Williamsport where every racer gets a post-race burger or pizza and some libations courtesy of Iron Cross and Brickyard!
Wiliamsport friends like Brickyard Ale House, Moon and Raven Public House, Wiliamsport Chamber of Commerce, the Cities of Williamsport and South Williamsport and more are getting pretty excited to welcome you and our event to their town. Come on out and see what Williamsport and Lycoming County have to offer!
