The purpose of this entire event is to bring awareness to animal welfare organizations in the state of Ohio, to promote adoption of shelter and rescue pets, to showcase animal related vendors and sponsors, and to provide an educational and entertaining event for the public. Proceeds from this event will be utilized for spay/neuter efforts to help control pet overpopulation, a major concern faced by the rescue community in our state.
Rescue organizations and shelters will bring along adoptable pets. Pet related business and organizations will be showcasing their products and services. The Southern Ohio Flying K9s will have multiple demonstrations and there will be pet races and a pet parade. The Rascal Unit will be conducting a wellness clinic from 12-3pm, providing vaccinations, microchips and preventative care at an affordable price. The first 50 microchips will be free of charge thanks to the generous donation from Pet FBI. In addition, there will be food trucks, raffles, items for sale and much more.
