The Pacific Coast Bike Race Northern Tier Express 900 is a 900-mile self-supported race that starts at the Battleship Oregon Memorial in Portland on Sunday September 8, 2024, and the finish is at the Fort Point Overlook just off the southern side of the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco, CA. For those of you that don't have enough time to complete the full 1500, this is the northern half.
The race course is based on the Pacific Coast Route established by Adventure Cycling Association with several added bike paths. The clock starts and does not stop till you finish. The route consists mostly of paved roads and bike paths.
There are three registration options. The first for $225 includes a high-end cycling jersey and cap, and the second for $125 includes a cycling cap. Sport Class does not include the jersey, cap, or prizes, but if your goal is to tour only this may be the category for you. Overall male and female winners will receive a hand-crafted belt buckle as will the lantern rouge. Top five male/female will also receive a pair of RedWhite cycling bibs.
If registration is completed after July 1, 2024, a jersey will not be provided, only a cycling cap due to ordering and production timelines.
We need 10 racers to be at the combined start of the 1500/900 Northern Tier in Portland on September 8, or a refund will be provided by July 31, 2024.
