The Pacific Coast Bike Race is a 1500 mile self-supported race that starts at the Battleship Oregon Memorial in Portland on Sunday September 8, 2024 and the finish is at the Unconditional Surrender Statue in San Diego. The race course is based on the Pacific Coast Route established by Adventure Cycling Association with several added bike paths. The clock starts and does not stop till you finish. The route consists mostly of paved roads and bike paths.
There are three registration options. One includes a high-end cycling jersey and cycling cap for $225, and the other option for $125 includes a cycling cap. Winner will receive a belt buckle. Top two male/female will also receive a pair of RedWhite cycling bibs. (If registration is completed after July 1st, 2024, only the no jersey option is available due to production timelines.) The third option is our sport class for $100.00, for those that just want to tour or will have assistance from a spouse, partner, family, or friends while stopped. In this class assistance while riding should only be provided in an emergency. This category is not eligible for prizes.
If registration is completed after July 1, 2024, a jersey will not be provided, only a cycling cap due to ordering and production timelines.
We need 10 racers to be at the combined start of the 1500/900 Northern Tier in Portland on September 8, or a refund will be provided by July 31, 2024.
For the inagural race in 2022 we welcomed racers from Germany, Slovenia, Switzerland, Canada, Czech Republic, Belgium, Great Britian, and the United States.
