A non-profit event promoting Norfolk's beautiful beaches, water safety, and competitive running & swimming in the Hampton Roads area. The race course is a triangle loop; where participants will swim out and then around three sets buoys for the 1 mile and 2 mile races. Race swag included for all participants at packet pick up/concluding the event. Easy parking available. This event has something for everyone from elite swimmers to beginners. All proceeds will go to Norfolk competitive swimming and Norfolk Silver Dolphins.

Schedule of Events:
June 3rd:
7:30 AM - Packet Pickup/Registration starts
8:30 AM - Opening Ceremonies
9:00-10:30 AM: 1 & 2 mile competitive Open Water Swim, swimming parallel to Ocean View Beach Park along a 1 mile triangle (1 lap or 2).
10:45 -11:30 PM: Relay race (4 swimmers).
11:30 PM: Awards Ceremony
12:00-3:00 PM: Norfolk's Mermaid Parade. This will be land-based for Mermaids (merfolk) or all ages.
AWARDS: Places 1st-3rd will be given a special award based on gender and age groups. All swimmers will receive an award for participation.
RACE SWAG: Goodie bags will be given to participants at packet pickup/at the conclusion of the event.
