Jr Novice Races
You may have noticed that we are doing Cat3 Jr novice races early in the day and be asking "hey, what's up with that?" We want to give Jr's, and particularly novice Jr's the best race day experience we can. Separating the Jr. novice races to an earlier start allows us to do 3 things:
Fewer racers on course for the race.For families where the one or both parents also race it gives the parents a chance to spectate and cheer their kids.Novice Jr's get their own start, with more people cheering and spectating. Bring the cowbells!Day Of Registration:
While we strongly encourage you to preregister (and greatly appreciate you doing so as it helps the event go more smoothly), there will be "day of" registration. It will be an extra $10, and will close 30 minutes before the start of your event.

We will be racing the purpose built “Tuscazoar World Cup Loop” XC Race course designed by Kenny!

Lap length 5 miles.Elevation ~500 feet elevation.Cat1 4 laps.Cat2 3 laps.Cat3 2 laps.Cat 3 Jr Novice 2 laps, 45 minute cut off to start lap 2.
Race day Schedule:
9am registration/packet pickup opens9:30am jr novice day of registration closes.10am Cat3 Jr Novice Races11:30am day of registration closes.12 noon all other races. 1 minute between waves, know your wave #!
USA Cycling Licenses, Ohio State Championship, and NOMBS Series Championship rules & eligibility:
NOMBS is proud to be bringing a USAC sanctioned series to Ohio and be hosting the official USA Cycling Ohio MTB Championship. Partnering with USA Cycling helps us offer you a great series with structure, good insurance, and allows an opportunity for riders with goals outside Ohio to earn USAC points.
If you do not have a USAC license you can select a one day license during checkout. This is a great option for riders who want to come out to a few races and have a great time. However to be eligible for series awards or state champion you must purchase an annual license from USA Cycling. In 2024 the Ohio State Championship and NOMBS Series Championship will be awarded separately. Awards will be given out at a post season awards party to be held at Ray's Indoor MTB Park. See below for eligibility rules for both State Champion and NOMBS Series Champion.
USA Cycling Ohio State Championship eligibility rules.The 2024 USA Cycling State Champion will be the winner of their respective category at the NOMBS Season Finale and State Championship Race. To be eligible for the Ohio State Championship jersey or medal:
A rider must hold a current USA Cycling annual license and reside in Ohio as shown on the rider’s USAC license. State Championships are open to US Citizens and permanent residents (green card) with a USA Cycling annual license.Must have participated in 2 USA Cycling permitted and sanctioned races in Ohio during 2024.NOMBS Series Championship Eligibility rules:A rider must haver a current USA Cycling License (need not reside in Ohio).Must race in the season finale race.Scored on best 5 races.Race all 9 races in the series and you get a “bonus point” for perfect attendance.In the event of a points tie the season final race is the tie breaker.
