Join Moose Mountains Regional Greenways for our first annual Mountain Bike Poker Ride at Abenaki Mountain Bike Trails in Wolfeboro, NH. This is a non-competitive, family-friendly event and offers various routes for all levels.
This event is a fund and awareness raising event to support MMRG’s mission to conserve key natural resource areas in our New Hampshire communities and connect them within a permanently protected network of greenways and open space for today and tomorrow. MMRG is based in Union, NH and serves 9 surrounding communities (Brookfield, Farmington, Middleton, Milton, New Durham, Ossipee, Tuftonboro, Wakefield, Wolfeboro).
A poker ride includes 5 stations along the route where riders will draw a playing card. At the end of the ride the participants with the best and worst poker hands will win a prize.
We are partnering with Burnt Timber Brewery to provide food, beer & other beverages between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. This is a ticketed event and the race is limited to 75 riders this first year. Up to 50 additional “Supporter” tickets are available for family or friends.
BIKE ROUTES: Three route options are available
Youth & Family riders: approx. 1 mile (mostly flat/rolling terrain with elevation gain of 75 feet).Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adultRecreational riders - approx. 3 miles (245 feet elevation)Advanced riders - approx. 4 miles (410 feet elevation) The last section of this ride is a technical singletrack downhill route with jumps. If you choose to take this route, consider your experience level. Participants can choose to ride a variety of routes and laps. Always follow the trails in the one way direction marked. Red X indicates do not enter.
TICKETS, REGISTRATION AND FOOD & BEVERAGE/BEER COUPONS:
Rider fee is $75 per adult or $50 per teen which includes three food and beer/beverage coupons, redeemable for $15 in food and refreshments of your choice. Each item will be priced at $5 (i.e. one drink, one meal item and one side dish). There are additional registration levels and prices to reflect variety in age, ability and coupon redemption. The event is limited to 75 riders in this inaugural event.
Non-rider supporter tickets are $25 and includes 3 coupons, redeemable for $15 in food and beverages of your choice. Tickets are limited to 50.
