关于赛事
Welcome back to our annual Mental Health Hero 5K!! Run, Walk or fly Iron-Man style September 21st, at Park Valley Church to spread awareness, make a difference and raise funds for mental health awareness! Bring your Marvel fan gear and dress in your capes to run this 5K!
Our message for this event is "No one is alone — because anyone/everyone can be an encourager." We are hosting this event to raise funds for mental health overall, but also for one of our own community members that was affected by a mental health crisis in November 2022. His name is Brayden Blocker and a huge Marvel fan (hence the theme of this run!) Last year, he joined the race in a push wheelchair, but this year, thanks to all of his therapy and help from the community, he will be able to take steps across the start line!
Thanks to the amazing turnout last year, we were able to make this 5K an annual event.
This event is for more than just runners, if you do not wish to run, feel free to show up to support the local business vendors, food tents, music and more!
Race Trophies for top 3 racers of each gender (Male and Female)
Please refer to this post for all information regarding race day! If I don't answer a question, please ask in the comments!

Thank you everyone for signing up for this race and contributing to spreading awareness to mental health in our community!
Proceeds of this race event are going to: Morgans Message, Sweet Julia Grace Foundation, and further therapies for Brayden's ongoing recovery from his Traumatic Brain Injury.
