Los Angeles Marathon

My first race. It was unbelievable, the people there just encouraging you to keep going and not give up, I loved it and it pushed me to not give up till the end. Definitely doing it again some time.

Amazing race. From start to finish, this point to paint marathon will take thru LA most iconic and beautiful areas.

Stadium to the Sea, running through the landmarks of our beautiful city, along with twenty five thousand souls, it is quite a spectacular event.... We started at the one and only Dodger Stadium, running the full marathon distance of 26.2 miles, all the way to the ocean. This is my city, so it was extra special for me to run this event although I had done a Boston Qualifier Marathon in Arizona just three weeks ago. The whole city was out cheering, handing out oranges and bananas and water, etc, the whole course was alive with the wonderful vibe from the spectators, and the weather happened to be perfect for running, cool in the beginning and then the sun came out later in the day... The support system for this race is also fabulous through out the whole course and there was hot pizza and all kinds of refreshments at the hospitality tents in the finishers zone... In addition to the joy of running my city, I was also very proud of the new generation of kids who pounded the miles with us, as part of Students Run LA. Kudos, kids!!! Overall, a wonderful experience, not the fastest course in the world, but it totally rocks with the Stadium to the Sea run, and the final stretches are alive with the crowds cheering with all their might... The LA Marathon is the Super Bowl of our city, and I recommend everyone to put it on their bucket list and enjoy the run through my City of Angels...
