Let's Groove
What: A 6 hr MTB skills sessions held at The Dirt Disco
Why: Because mountain biking gets "awesomer" as you get better!
When: Saturday, May 4th (10am-3pm ish)
Where: The Dirt Disco, Cazenovia, NY. See directions below PLEASE NOTE: make sure GPS takes you to the corner of Ridge and Maple Road in Cazenovia. Some peoples GPS send then to the wrong place! So check before you start driving. We are located very close to the intersection of Ridge Road and Maple Road in Cazenovia, the entrance to the disco is on Maple Road, there's a sign. Call me at 315-655-4620 if you get in a pickle!
Who: This class is for more experienced riders who feel they have a firm understanding of the " basis" and can apply them on the trail. Body position, braking, and trail awareness should be in the rider's toolbox already. Shoot me a note if you want to discuss your fit with this class.
Here is a list of some skills/ maneuvers that will likely be covered:
--Review and “brush up" on fundamentals
– Steep descending
--Cornering
--Technical front/rear wheel lifts (log overs, pivot turns)
--Slow speed skills ( track stands, skinnies)
--Drops , rolling and airing out (if ready)
--Pressure control ( berms and pumping terrain, talk about adding flow!)
--Rock gardens
I have two rules:
1. You don't learn anything when you're afraid, you just survive and you have NO idea what you did, ZERO retention! Everything is done in a safe, comfortable manner that is commensurate with each rider's ability to ensure a productive, and wicked fun day!
2. No egos at Disco!
Extreme Weather:
If we experience extreme weather we will re-schedule the class. Fear not, you will get your day at the Disco! If you can't make the reschedule time you will receive a 100% refund or a credit for a future class. Your choice!
