Gopher Weedon Trail Run

The Friends of Weedon Island host an exciting trail run through the scenic landscapes of the Weedon Island Preserve in Tampa Bay. Participants will traverse native Florida habitats, experiencing the blend of roadways, boardwalks, and trails that wind through mangroves and salt marshes. This professionally-timed event offers the chance to spot wildlife such as the gopher tortoise and explore the historic and cultural sites within the preserve. After the race, participants can enjoy refreshments and visit the Cultural and Natural History Center. Proceeds support local environmental preservation and education initiatives. Registered participants receive a technical T-shirt, professional timing, and awards.
