Hello Runners,
We would love to welcome you back to the Ayer Police Association's 9th Annual St. Paddy's Day Road Race. Maybe you are a trail runner, or prefer the pounding of the pavement beneath your feet. Some of you might be a long distance runner, where a 5K is your warm-up run. This might be on your bucket list, to complete your first ever 5K. Whomever you are, and whatever type of runner you are, this is the road race for you. The APPOA 9th Annual St. Paddy's Day Road Race is a family-fun event, with runners of all ages and expertise. So come join us, wear your festive attire, and if you are lucky you might get a prize for best outfit of the day.
The course is a flat race that leaves near The Nashoba Club on Central Ave in the Town of Ayer, down Central Ave, up to Old Sandy Pond Road where you make the loop and come back down to Central Ave, where the run brings you to the finish line right next to The Nashoba Club. You can meet us up in the club for the awards ceremony, some celebratory St. Paddy's Day foods and beverages...wink...wink... and some good runner company. We at the Ayer Police Patrol Officer Association take your safety and wellness into account, so please, if you are sick or just feeling sick, as much as we want to see you in person, please stay home and get well!
Bib pick up will only happen on race morning in the Nashoba Club's parking lot in order to keep everyone safe. You get a discounted fee if you sign up prior to race day. An extra fee will be set for race day sign-ups. We will have use of the facilities at the Nashoba Club prior to the race start. Parking is plentiful at the parking garage just a short distance from The Nashoba Club.
We look forward to a great race day. Rain, snow and sleet is usually what the weather is like, but no matter what, we will run.
Happy Running!
