This will be the 43rd Run Through the Pines. It will be sponsored by the Lake Gregory Company and you guessed it, the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District.

The Run Through the Pines is a San Bernardino Rim Mountain Community Event and is one of the longest "running" runs in Southern California (the first one was in 1979). It features a 10K and 5K run (or walk) around Lake Gregory and is brought on by community support from sponsor, vendors, and volunteers from all over the mountain.

Runners and walkers can enjoy a semi-paved roadway around Lake Gregory which passes scenic mountain and lake views. The run is at a 4,720 feet elevation, which makes it a perfect little challenge for mountain locals and especially those folks down the hill. Race day staging is at The Lake Gregory Company. We encourage participants of all levels, children in strollers, pets on a leash, and especially teams/groups.

Registration

Online registration opening soon. You may also register on the day of the run. Same-day registration will be open onsite from 6:00 - 6:30 am on August 10. 

Tentative Schedule of Run Day,

6:30 AM     Check-in / Same day Registration

Additional Features:

Music, water stations, chip timing and computerized race results, course patrolled by emergency communications, event t-shirts, custom trophies for 1st place winners in age categories, 5K and 10K overall winner trophies, custom event medals, post-race refreshments, and FRESH COOL MOUNTAIN AIR! 
Medals & T-shirts Notice: All runners that pre-register before July 1st will receive a medal and t-shirt. We cannot guarantee participation medals or t-shirts for day of registration runners.

The Run Through the Pines is a mountain community event hosted by the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District and the Lake Gregory Company. The run relies on sponsors and/or local businesses and organizations to enhance the runner's experience on race day. Volunteers 

We love our volunteers and honestly, the event couldn't happen without them! We are currently looking for Registration and Race Kit Pick-up volunteers, Water Station Volunteers, Start/Finish Line Volunteers, and lots of course marshals to ensure a safe and fun event for everyone. Contact the Park District Office if you would like to volunteer. 

Parking

Parking is offered onsite at the San Moritz Lodge and in Lake Gregory parking lots. Please do not park directly in the Crest Forest Senior Citizens parking area or near their building, you will be towed.
