Redbrook's Spring Scamper Fun Run & 5K

Join the excitement on Sunday, May 5th, as we rev up for double the fun and adventure! Lace up your running shoes for Redbrook's Spring Scamper Fun Run and 5k. This exhilarating 5K and Fun Run isn't just about crossing the finish line - it's about empowering local children with the gift of summer camp at the Old Colony YMCA's Camp Clark! 

Every stride you take and every dollar you contribute will light up the lives of kids in our community, giving them unforgettable experiences, lifelong friendships, and cherished memories. Let's come together, run/walk with purpose, and spread joy to those who need it most. 

But wait, there's more! Get ready to touch, explore, and be amazed at our Touch a Truck fundraiser from 11am - 2pm! All proceeds benefit the Y’s Annual Campaign. Kids of all ages will enjoy climbing, exploring, and learning about many large and unique vehicles in a fun and safe environment.

Spring Scamper Fun Run and 5K

100% of the event’s proceeds will benefit the campers of Old Colony YMCA's Camp Clark. We are proud to partner with The Old Colony YMCA to provide scholarships for families who may not be able to afford their wonderful summer camp. Let's work together to make summer camp happen for our local children. 

Everyone is invited and the more, the merrier. Tell your friends, families, neighbors, colleagues and anyone who might like to join our event to support our little campers. 

The Spring Scamper Fun Run for kids begins at 9:00am and the 5K is planned to start at 9:30am. 

Both runs/walks will begin and end at The Kennard Barn, where awards will be given and then festivities will continue afterward on the Redbrook Green and at the Old Colony YMCA. 

Early registration offers a discount, so sign up today, tell a friend, mark your calendar, and get excited! Early bird signup will end on April 19thso please register before then (get the discount AND the free tee shirt before that date). 

This event is open to anyone who would like to join – runners, walkers, parents, grandparents, friends, and folks pushing strollers too!

 Touch a Truck Fundraiser

Get ready to touch, explore, and ignite imaginations at our Touch a Truck fundraiser which kicks off just after the Spring Scamper! Join us from 11am-2pm at the Old Colony YMCA (branch at Redbrook) and around The Green at Redbrook for excitement and discovery as we come together to support the Old Colony YMCA's Annual Campaign! 

From towering fire trucks to mighty construction vehicles, food trucks and music, there's something for everyone to marvel at and enjoy. And the best part? Every single dollar raised goes directly to the Annual Campaign, empowering the YMCA to continue its incredible work in our community. 

So bring your family, bring your friends, and let's make memories while making a difference! Together, we can ensure that vital programs and resources are accessible to all, helping to build a stronger, healthier, and more inclusive community for everyone.

Schedule for the Day

Park at Plymouth South Elementary, located at 178 Bourne Rd., Plymouth. 
9am - Fun Run Kicks Off | The Kennard Barn
9:30 - 5K Run/Walk Kicks Off | The Kennard Barn

11:00 - 2:00 - Touch a Truck | YMCA and The Green at Redbrook

There will be a shuttle to bring you from The Barn to The Green after the Spring Scamper. 

Shuttles will run until 2:30 to return you to South Elementary. 

Pet Policy
Due to insurance and liability issues imposed, no pets are allowed at the Spring Scamper 5K and Fun Run. That means NO DOGS allowed with runners or walkers on the course and we kindly ask spectators to leave ALL PETS at home. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. 

Of course, licensed/certified service animals are welcome. 

Spring Scamper T-shirts
Spring Scamper t-shirts will be given out to all participants (children and adults) who register to participate before April 19th. We cannot guarantee t-shirt giveaways for those who register after that date.

(there will not be t-shirts provided for Touch a Truck). 

Parking
All parking for both events (the Spring Scamper and Touch a Truck) will be at Plymouth South Elementary School, located at 178 Bourne Road, Plymouth, MA. 

Shuttles
Shuttle busses will be available at Plymouth South Elementary to take you to and from Redbrook (the Barn and the YMCA) beginning at 8am and ending just after the Touch a Truck at 2:30pm. Shuttles will run all day so you will always be able to get back to your car when you are ready to head home. 

Weather
Both events are rain or shine. 

Our Spring Scamper Course
A wooded nature trail situated among one of Massachusetts' most beautiful wonders - cranberry bogs! The trail surface includes sand, stones, grass, turf, mud, and asphalt. Walking and strollers encouraged but please be sure they can travel over cranberry roads. 

Covid-19
We ask that any participant, spectator, volunteer that is not feeling well in ANY way do not attend the event. We expect all attendees to adhere to the most current state and local recommendations for the safety and security of all.
