Olympus Marathon

Olympus Marathon is a renowned international mountain running event in Greece, held on the iconic mountain of Olympus, the mythical abode of the Gods. The route follows the same path of ancient Greeks who used to ascend the mountain to honor and pay tribute to Zeus. Starting from the archaeological remains of Dion, a renowned historical site in Greece, athletes take on the 44km long race ending in Litochoro town, located at 300m above sea level. The route climbs 2800m in total, with its highest point being right below the peak of "Zeus' throne," providing breathtaking views of the region. It is the perfect opportunity for athletes to challenge themselves and compete in one of the most renowned mountain running events in the world.
