GEAUX THE EXTRA MILE: 5K / 1 Mile Race

Union Street, Opelousas, LA 70570 Geaux the Extra Mile is Opelousas Pregnancy Center’s annual 5k / 1 Mile Fun run-through scenic and historic Opelousas, LA.  The race will begin and end at South City Park complete with a local musician and food and beverage vendors at our Life Festival. Participants will enjoy this family fun event in support of abundant life for mothers and babies. 
**There is no admission fee to enter the festival**   Sign up to walk or run today! Teams of 6 or more get a discounted fee.   FUNDRAISING!! Any Fundraiser that raises $100 or more will automatically receive a $20 credit toward their registration fee.   Further support us by starting a race fundraiser and get your friends, family, and colleagues to
sponsor your run!

Opelousas Pregnancy Center supports mothers and babies of St. Landry Parish and beyond by
offering free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, mentoring and maternity support throughout
pregnancy and beyond. Our free diaper program and maternity boutique supports mothers and their babies. Our mentors help our moms navigate through their pregnancy and educates them on all things motherhood in order to live an abundant life! Our nurses compassionately offer free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds to reveal to them the little life growing in their womb. In whole, Opelousas Pregnancy Center offers hope, support, and encouragement that is desperately needed by mothers in difficult circumstances.

  Registration Fees for each Category

 

EARLY REGISTRATION FEES:
5 years and and under Free  (No t-shirt given)
6-12 years -           $15  
13-17 years -         $25
18 years and up -  $35

 

REGISTRATION FEES starting April 1, 2024: 5 years and under Free   (No t-shirt given)
6-12 years -           $20
13-17 years -         $30
18 years and up -  $40      
  **Refunds are NOT allowed for this race.  This is a fundraiser event.  If you are not able to participate on race day, please consider your registration as a donation.   T-shirts are not guaranteed if registering after Wednesday, April 3, 2024.   If the race is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will not reschedule the race.  Our main concern is the safety of our participants.     Packet Pickup (Location, Date & Time): 
Wednesday, April 17, 2024 - Opelousas Pregnancy Center 9am-Noon.  421 N. Main Street, Opelousas   Age Groups: 12 and under, 13-19,  20-29,  30-39,  40-49,  50-59,  60-69 and 70+
  Awards: 5K Awards -  Top Overall Male & Female and Top Male & Female each age group 1 Mile Awards - Top Overall 6-12, 13-17, 18+.  5 & under will receive participation ribbons. 
  Beneficiary for the race:  Participating in Geaux The Extra Mile allows you to
be a part of saving and changing lives. This fundraiser helps Opelousas Pregnancy Center facilitate
abundant life for mothers and babies. When mothers are supported well lives are saved. We at
Opelousas Pregnancy Center are committed to doing so by offering free pregnancy tests, free
ultrasounds, and free maternity support throughout pregnancy and beyond.
