DFCX 2023 Race Communication:

 

Strap down your porto potties and take a read of this!

 

It has been an incredible feat to say the least…   The ability to assemble DFCX board of directors, advisory committees of DFCX and diplomats who tend to give the best advise all within the last 36 hours to bring the brightest minds together and be able to reveal what should  be known as the greatest pre race adjustment ever. Here it is.

 

Please  read entire note.  **** RACE times have changed because we are working around the high wind and rain threads from the hurricane.  High winds often render this area without power.  The race can still go on without power.

 

12:00 pm Juniors ages 9-14 race at NOON for 30 minutes

 

12:30 pm Kids race/ride on separate course

 

12:45 pm Men 4/5 and boys 15-18 race together for 35 minutes

 

1:30 pm Women 40+, 50+ and 3/4  race together for 40 minutes

1:32  ****Women 4/5 and  girls 15-18 start 2 minutes after.

 

2:15 pm Kids race on separate course

 

2:30 pm Men 3/4 and Single speed race for 40 minutes

 

3:20 pm Masters 40+, 50+ and 60+ race together for 40 minutes

 

4:20 pm Elite Men race for 50 minutes

30 seconds later Elite Women start (race for 49 minutes and 30 seconds ;-)

 

We are rolling with the wind threats and plan to take the best action we can to provide a fun quality event/ race  for you.

 

1,  Heck ya we will still have Pizza and BEER!!!  There will be New Custom DFCX cups from Kleen Kanteen!

Previous years we offered bottomless beer for $20.  This year we’re going one better! We are trying to make everything easier with a bottomless beer and pizza wristband for $30.  Packed with value since our new 16oz Kleen Kanteen cups are $10  (limited quantity available).

3.  Don’t forget to pick up your DFCX tee shirt, and Bivo water bottles.   It’s a sizable up font investment and massive undertaking to put on this event.  Please consider buying  a shirt and bottle to help float the expenses of putting on a race.  Special event discount for the Bivo bottles so don’t wait on that.

Welcome back to DFCX for our 7th season of racing at Applegate Deer Farm.

The crew at DFCX are excited to serve up an amazing course and venue for you all!

If you're new to DFCX don't hesitate to sign up.  We provide a fun race enviroment and try to take the stress off your plate so you can concentrate on your race.

Kids pump track course will be buffed out and dialed for 2022.  Check out the schedule with kids races happening a few times throughout the day.  As a parent it's difficult to align mom/dads race to the kids race so we want to provide a few more oppportuites.

Location:  101 Applegate Ln. W. Newfield, ME 04095

Registration:  Look for the reg. tent in the middle of the raceway as you drive into the field.

DFCX Swag:  Don't forget to stop at the swag table to pick up a DFCX hat, tee, or a sweet kit/ vest.  (cash appreciated)

*** Custom  DFCX super clean water bottles from Bivo.

Course:  Open fast sections linked with the perfect amount of flow and tech.  (Grass, gravel, sand, off camber, barriers, brown pow pete bogg, Ride through Barn.

Post Race:  Food and Beer available from 11 am to close.  

Course Inspection:  Course inspection will be open after the last racer starts their final lap.  (PLEASE DO NOT CROSS THE FINISH LINE TO ENTER THE COURSE)  Look for the entrance after the finish line and be respectful to the racers on course, give them 200 meters.

Elite Cash Payout:  Current 2023 payout is: 1st = $300.  2nd = $200. 3rd = $150.  4th = $125.  5th = $100.  6th = $90.   7th = $80.  8th = $70.  9th = $60.  10th = $50
