Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon

The Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon Series is renowned as "America’s Toughest Road Marathon," challenging runners with significant elevation changes. It's the only marathon running along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, benefiting the parkway and numerous local charities annually. Participants, tackling various distances, are rewarded with finishers' medals, shirts, and local craft beer in a festive finish in downtown Roanoke. The event also offers the Blue Ridge Double challenge. The marathon is supported by Foot Levelers and operated by the Roanoke Outside Foundation, emphasizing outdoor activity and environmental stewardship with a “conservation through recreation” philosophy.
