After canceling our 2020 event and going virtual in 2021 we were hopeful that our 2022 run/walk would be in person and record breaking. However, with the on-going uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and the subsequent restrictions, our committee has decided to host another virtual event.  The good news: With your support last year, we were able to offer two scholarships to veterans! Thank you again, for your participation – it seems you are as committed as we are to supporting those who have served.  So, here we are, asking you to join us, over the next few months, in another virtual 5K run or walk. When you register you will receive a “bib” number. Keep that handy as you will need it to post your time. You can run anywhere and anytime but your time must be posted by Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 8:00pm. We are not awarding trophies or medals but tech shirts, we are all over that! We will mail your tech shirt but ask, during your registration, to help us with the cost. When you register you will see, on the first page, the course map we’ve used at Marie Kerr Park; you are welcome to run that course or design your own route. Again, we thank you for supporting the Kiwanis Club of Palmdale West and our AVC Scholarship Endowment.

**We must receive your registration on or before midnight on May 15, 2022 to be guaranteed receipt of a tech shirt.** 

Our Why: Nine years ago the Kiwanis Club of Palmdale West organized 5Klicks To Home to assist 30 local high school students who took the “OATH” and dedicated themselves to raising the funds required to build a wheelchair accessible “Smart Home” for a local warrior who was severely wounded in Iraq. The students achieved their goal and handed over the keys to the home in May, 2015. Although the student organization has now been dissolved, the Palmdale West Kiwanis Club members continue the 5K run/walk in their quest to fully endow a scholarship at the Antelope Valley Community College to assist a Veteran, or immediate family member, in furthering their education. Please join us in this effort to support and honor our military men and women as we welcome home our Veterans -one warrior at a time!

Race Tech Shirts: We will mail  your tech shirt to your home. Please remember we only guarantee tech shirts to those who sign up by May, 15, 2022.

Children's Race: We do not offer tech shirts for the Children's Race.

Race: Run your virtual race anytime before Sunday, June 5, 2022, 8:00pm. Be sure to submit your race time - have your Bib number handy.
