Sylvan Island Stampede

Introducing the 2024 FORC Race Series!  

The Sylvan Island Stampede will be the 1st of the 3 part series. With Illiniwek Abermintion on Saturday, May 4th and FORC-Side Thrill Ride at Sunderbruch Park on Sunday, June 2 (Aberm and FSTR registration to be posted at a later date)

**We're changing the categories up so pay close attention to the Time and Race:
9:00am  - Long XC race will be 5 laps ~21 miles (for riders that are Expert, Open and strong Sport)
12:00noon - Junior race 1 lap ~4 miles and Beginner race will be 2 laps ~ 8 miles (Junior and Novice riders) 
2:00pm - Short XC race will be 3 Laps ~ 12.5 miles (for strong Novice and Sport riders that want to push a little faster)

Please register early as prices will go up Sunday March 31st.

Registration will close Thursday, April 4th at 10:00pm. "Day Of" registration will be allowed, however, price will be $20 more - GET REGISTERED EARLY!!

* NOTE - USAC license is not needed for this event as it NOT a USAC sanctioned event.

** There is no rain date for this race. The islands soil is sandy and rocky and can take a significant amount of rain.

Awards:  

-Novice – Men & Women Overall Trophies

-Long XC - Men & Women 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $80, 3rd Place $60, 4th Place $40, 5th Place $20 

- Short XC - Men & Women 1st Place $50, 2nd Place $40, 3rd Place $30     

All races - medals will be awarded by age group… *Total payouts capped at 100% of field entry fees or listed amounts; whichever is smaller.

Series points will be awarded by place. 1st place 1 point, 2nd place 2 points, 3rd place 3 points…ect

Racer check-in will open at 7:45am.
