Arctic Rescue invites you and your pup to join us for our first Howloween Husky Hustle! We will have the options for both a 5k and 10k race. Check in for the 10k begins at 4:00pm with the race kicking off at 5:00pm. The 5k check in will start at 5:00pm and race will start at 6:00pm. The sunset will be at 6:50pm adding to the spooky fun. We will provide glow sticks and lighting as people finish the race and enjoy the post race festivities. All dogs must be on leash - please no retractable leashes. Each dog must be accompanied by their own handler. One dog per adult. Kids may not walk/run with dogs.
Arctic Rescue is a Utah-based rescue that saves more than 100 dogs a year (usually Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Huskies, and Alaskan Malamutes). We specialize in helping to place adoptable dogs in good homes and help make unadoptable dogs adoptable. We are unique in our commitment to these breeds and seek to work with local shelters and other animal agencies to find the best solutions for dogs and their caretakers.

Inclement weather: The race will be held snow, rain, or shine.
Participation Rules & Etiquette
Leash Requirement: Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times during the race. This is to prevent any incidents or accidents involving unleashed dogs.
Retractable leashes are not permitted. Please use standard fixed-length leashes. Hands-free leashes are permitted but must not exceed 6 feet while running.
Controlled Behavior: Owners are responsible for ensuring that their dogs are well-behaved and under control throughout the event. Please do not bring your dog if he/she is aggressive towards other humans or dogs.
Hydration and Rest Stops: There are water stations along the race route for both dogs and owners. It's essential for participants to ensure their dogs stay hydrated and take breaks as needed.
Cleanup Responsibility: Owners are expected to clean up after their dogs during the event, including any waste they produce along the race route.
Race Etiquette: Participants are expected to be courteous to other runners and dogs on the course, yielding when necessary and following any instructions from
race officials.
Each participant is allowed to bring and handle only one dog during the race unless previously approved by Arctic Rescue. One of the primary reasons for
implementing this rule is to ensure the safety of both participants and dogs. Managing multiple dogs can be challenging, especially in crowded race
environments, and having more than one dog per person can increase the risk of incidents, such as entanglement or aggression between dogs.
