Detalles del recorrido

Lo más destacado del recorrido

The Rome Marathon starts at on the Via dei Fori Imperiali in the shadow of the Coliseum. proceeds through the city passing such famous landmarks as the Piazza di Spagna, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Saint Peter's and Piazza Venezia. Molto bello! Despite Rome being the 'City of Seven Hills' the race is very flat. This gives runners the chance of a PB. However with cobblestones en route some participants will struggle. For all those who make it to the end they will end the race close to the start, back at the Coliseum.

Crowded start area and a long wait for no apparent reason, but awesome course passing most of the big attractions. Pacers and volunteers were great. Just beware of the many potholes along the way.

80 minutes just standing in the crowd before the start, no starts according to pace, big avenues with just one line for runners (impossible to run for 12 or 13 kms) chaos at water stations...(only in one side of the road) people crossin streets everywhere..(i lost all my energy gels when hiting them...) that race would be perfect with half of the runner but i guess the organization only cares about money... NEVER AGAIN...more than 100 races all over the world....and this is, by far, the WORST

It was my first marathon. The event was well organized. I have finished the marathon for 6 hours and on my way to the finish line there was music bands, cheerful crowds, water and snacks, kind people and warm memories that I took back home. I really recommend this marathon as it deserved to be visited, run and felt. Thanks to the team and the volunteers that make it happen!

It's a very beautiful route, the most of the time you running through the most beautiful sights of the city, well organized the day of the race, fantastic atmosphere through the beginning!!!

It's a bit hard at the end of the race running on rocks but mostly is a flat race

Amazing experience running through one of most historical places in the world. The start is from the Colosseum and you go past iconic places like the circo Massimo, Vatican city, the Trevi fountain before the finish line back in front of the Colosseum. Couldn't have chosen a better place to run my first marathon and I will certainly run it again in the future The organisation was perfect and crowd and the atmosphere make the all experience unforgettable.

Although the road was a bit difficult and slippery in same spots due to the paved streets the route was incredible. You can run in front of many famous monuments which makes your race unforgettable. The finish at Colosseum... no words to describe...

Have to say that Rome is one of my absolute favorites. The ancient city, and to be in middle of this historic moment is something else, just love it, and so far done it twice. Hope being back in 2020

I do not see how anyone can claim that the route is not an interesting one, as you couldn't hope for much more sightseeing on a Marathon route. The chance to run through St Peters Square as Pope Francis was taking Sunday Morning Mass, I just had to stop and hand my phone to a random spectator to get a photo of me. I was still running well at that time, despite carrying an injury and I would say that approx. 16 miles of the course was on cobble stones and even on the better surfaced roads you were left avoiding the potholes. With temperatures of 24 degrees it was a tough day for this Brit but I will always look back fondly on the Rome Marathon. The Colloseum, Altare della Patria, Circus Maximus, Cestius Pyramid, Castel St'Angelo and the Vatican City, a quick glimpse of the Olympic Stadium, Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps and a good few miles along the River Tiber, what more could you hope to see in a 42km run? It was breath taking!!! It was also very well organised, although they could do with a few signs at the subway station or a few volunteers there that direct people to the Expo Hall who have never ran the Rome Marathon before and the course did get a little short of water during the last few miles on a very warm day. The tech t-shirt and other free goodies (New Balance ruck sack) given out at the Expo were top drawer and I managed to change the wrong sized t-shirt which I had picked up with another individual who had similarly ordered the wrong fitting. Rome is a tough Marathon that I would say is possibly the toughest road race that I have ran and is certainly the toughest City Marathon Course that I have encountered. It is a friendly event that will provide life long memories if you aren't hoping to push for a PB though. I loved my trip to Maratona di Roma 2018.

One of the worst marathons. The route is not very interesting. One runs almost only on cobbled streets. The risk to get injured is high.

Moj prvi maraton i moj prvi maraton u Rimu.
