关于赛事
The Wildflower Run is a 4.5 mile trail run and 2 mile trail run/hike through the trails of beautiful Bristol Woods County Park (Bristol, WI). The event is held on the third Saturday of each May during peak wildflower viewing time at the Pringle Nature Center. 100% of entry fees benefit environmental education programming at Pringle Nature Center.
Why 4.5 miles? This 4.5 mile course is modeled after Dave Spittlemeister's (one of the organizers of the run) famous "touch every trail" run at Bristol Woods. The course has an estimated 450 feet of elevation gain and many twists and turns. Come conquer Dave's "touch every trail" course during peak wildflower season!
Both races will start promptly at 9 am. Online registration is open until 11:59 pm on the Wednesday before the race. Day of race registration is available and is from 7 am to 9 am prior to the race.
T-shirts are available for an extra $5 per shirt for those preregistered by May 5th. Unique wildflower inspired awards will be given out to the overall male and female finishers and the first male and female finishers of each of the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over for both the 2 mile and 4.5 mile runs.
As always, immediately following the races we will have a generous food spread with homemade cookies and lots of other goodies!
