Runners and Walkers:
Join us for Fourth Annual Run Against Racism at Kemble Park in Utica. Meet by the mural to register and pick up your shirt. Registration begins at 8:00am.
This event is part of Utica's Juneteenth celebration. We will have a 5k Run/Walk and a Kids' Run as well! In addition we will have a Virtual option for people to participate who cannot attend the LIVE event!
Education, relationship building, openness and exploration of the communities around us can lead to understanding and to combat racism. The Utica Roadrunners have created a route throughout the heart of Utica for members and friends to run/walk at their leisure as a way to jointly take a stand against racism and injustice. Along the route, participants will learn about different places, people and events that celebrate the rich history of our great city!
Throughout the duration of the event, participants are encouraged to take and post photos and thoughts on what they have seen and learned along the route to our Facebook event page.
The event is FREE, but if you are so moved to do so, donations raised will help support those businesses. Our first 100 participants for our LIVE event get a FREE shirt! Yes, you heard right-FREE! All kids participating also get a FREE shirt as well! You may only pick your shirt up on the day of the event at Kemble Park.
