Join Alpha Alpha Lambda Omega Chapter for our inaugural Tutus and Ties 5K and Fun Run, for all those who celebrate community, unity, and running for a purpose. Grab a friend and join this fun event. Proceeds benefit AAΛΩ Programs of Service that support our service areas in Prince George County, MD that include Adelphi, Beltsville, Bladensburg, Cheverly, College Park, East Riverdale, Hyattsville, Langley Park, and Mount Rainier, Maryland.
PARTICIPATION
All paces and ages (under 18 with guardian) are welcome - Run or Walk! The Fun Run is untimed however, runner’s times for the 5k will be available following completion of the race on Run SignUp. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite tutu and/or tie (bowties count), through a serene run through the scenic town of Cheverly, MD. All participants receive a finisher medal, participant swag bag, and water/snacks.
LOCATION
We will start and finish outside the Cheverly Town Hall parking lot located at 6401 Forest Road, Cheverly, MD 20785. Our Fun Run will begin promptly at 8:15am, and our 5K will begin at 9:00am. Runners are asked to show up on time to the 5k to ensure accurate timing.
TEAM SIGNUP
Teams sign-ups will automatically be entered into a team spirit contest and evaluated on outfit coordination and race day enthusiasm. Prize will be awarded to the winning team!
VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION
Can’t join us in person for the 5k and still want to participate? Race with us virtually! Just choose the virtual 5k option and receive instructions for joining AALO from wherever you are in the world.

First Platinum sponsor will have opportunity to have banner posted at start/finish line
