Experience the Nieuwpoort Swim, a unique open water swimming competition in Belgium. Starting at the Old Fish Market, participants swim towards the entrance of the largest marina in Northern Europe. Join a diverse international field of swimmers for a challenging 1.9km or 3.8km race. Enjoy the calm waters along the course, protected from the currents of the channel. Spectators can line the route and cheer on the swimmers. Finish the race at the Long Course Weekend festival grounds, near the impressive West Front monument. This is a race that promises to create lasting memories for travelers from around the world.

The swim course is one of the only open-water swim courses in Belgium. Set on the river delta in the port of Nieuwpoort, the Nieuwpoort Swim takes place in a setting to marvel about. The perfect start of the Long Course Weekend. The course starts and finishes in the harbour of the city and right next to the Nieuwpoort memorial in honour of British soldiers.
