关于赛事
Beginning at Mayflower Park in Southampton, the Big Pilgrimage is a point-to-point run along the newly discovered Pilgrim Trail the 'Old Way'. This trail, which is marked on Britain's oldest road map, the Gough Map c.1360, traverses coastal and countryside scenery. Followers of the Solent Way will cross the Itchen Bridge and journey along the shoreline to Hamble, where pink ferries will transport them to Warsash. From there, they will continue along the shoreline to Hill Head Harbour before taking scenic trails northwards to Titchfield, Wickham, and further up to Portsdown Hill with views of the English Channel. The marathon event finishes at Fort Nelson atop Portsdown Hill, with the chance for participants to collect stickers at pilgrimage landmarks like Netley Castle and Titchfield Abbey to make a unique collectable race number.
