Join us Saturday, April 13th as we raise awareness for mental health at our 3rd Glow Run for Mental Health and Community Wellness Fair!
This year’s Glow Run will take place on Elizabeth City State University’s campus. The fun run will begin at 7pm, just as the sun is beginning to set so participants can actually light up the night as they run, walk, and scoot! Glow and neon attire encouraged - there will be a prize for best dressed!
In addition to the Glow Run, we’ll be hosting our annual Community Wellness Fair which will feature community organizations and agencies that provide whole health supports. This year we’re extremely excited to partner with several of ECSU’s programs and departments to share how they support mental health. The Wellness Fair begins at 5pm and will include interactive activities, food, and more!
Finally, this year we are thrilled to bring back our Art Showcase. This year’s theme is “It’s okay to not be okay” and all forms of artistic entries are welcome - music, spoken word, dance, etc! Entry is FREE and all pieces will be displayed at the Glow Run. Participants and attendees of the Glow Run & Wellness Fair will be able to vote for their favorite and the piece with the most votes will win a prize!
This event is hosted by the Villages of a North Carolina, a nonprofit organization that represents the 29 counties in northeastern North Carolina. All proceeds go to benefit the Villages of North Carolina in their regional resource hub that will launch late 2024.
