Severance 5k Color Run

The Severance Chamber of Commerce is hosting our first ever 5k Color Run/Walk! This is a family-friendly run/walk that will take place at Severance Community Park with an Easter Egg Hunt (FREE EVENT) following shortly after hosted by Calvary Severance Church! Strollers are welcome - this race is for all ages!    Registration/Check in Opens at 10:30 am; to check in for the Mile Race - you can also check in at 10:30 am but please arrive no later than 11:45 am

Course Closed at 1:30 pm

The course is on paved roads going through some of the unpaved Great Western trail and a loop around the Severance High School Parking lot with multiple color stations along the way out and those same stations on the way back. There will also be an aid station at the turnaround with a special treat and water awaiting you. Volunteers will be located throughout the course to guide you, cross any major intersection, throw color at you, so be sure to High Five them and tell them “Thanks”. Events like this would not exist without our volunteers. The course will close at 1:30pm and the Easter Egg Hunt (FREE EVENT), hosted by Calvary Severance Church, will begin promptly at 2pm.
 
The start will begin and end at Severance Community Park. 5K Color Run - $25 
Kids 1Mile Color Run $10 **ALL MINORS under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
All participants who register prior to March 29th will be guaranteed a shirt and swag bag, as supply is limited.
 
Day of Registration: 5K Color Run - $25 Kids 1 Mile Color Run -$10 Swag bag and shirt if available. "Extras" will be for sale the day of until supplies run out  No Refunds or Transfers. No early packet pickup is available.

*****While our color powder is safe for clothing, we do recommend not wearing your favorite outfit just in case! Please check out the FAQs below from the supplier colorpowdersupply.com for more information. We also recommend bringing a towel to wipe yourself off or to place on the seat of your vehicle.

Cleaning and Usage DOES YOUR COLOR POWDER CLEAN EASILY?
Our color powder uses all natural dyes that clean easily off most surfaces. Cleaning is as easy as brushing or blowing off a majority of the color powder, then a little soap and water will take care of the rest. While our color powder is made to be washable, the natural dyes do have the potential to stain certain materials or surfaces. Porous materials, such as vinyl, are more prone to staining. We recommend testing a small, hidden area when using color powder products if there are concerns. HOW DO I CLEAN POWDER OFF MY SKIN OR HAIR?
Cleaning off your skin and hair is similar to dusting off dry dirt. Most of it can be removed by shaking and dusting yourself off. The remaining will go away with a bath or shower.  Please note that fair skin and hair may be left with a slight tint for a day or two if heavily covered and left on for a long period of time. This will go away, of course, but maybe don’t participate if you have engagement photos the next day ; ) HOW DO I CLEAN POWDER OFF MY CLOTHES AND MATERIALS?
Most clothing can be washed as normal without staining. If staining occurs on white clothing, it can be cleaned with laundry whitener. Porous surfaces such as leather, vinyl, suede, or foam products can be the most difficult to clean. Please do not wear valuable clothes or shoes to color powder events. Use plastic, towels, or drop cloths to cover interior car seats, golf cart seats, or anything else that you would normally protect from dirt or mud.
