The Spartan Foundation supports everything SPARTAN. We truly believe it takes a village and, in our case, it takes several. We call this group of Spartan supporting villages: Spartan Nation. Spartan Nation spans nearly 25 miles. In an effort to keep Spartan Nation happy, healthy, and on the move; we are challenging you to Run the Nation this summer! Run the Nation participants will be required to log 25 miles of walking, running or both in each of the months of May, June, July, and August. These miles can be done on your own or with a friend. They can be done on your own time. You can run or walk anywhere you would like. Just log your miles on your Run the Nation log sheet. NEW THIS YEAR-Training for a longer event? You can set your own mile goal. Using our running log, you can increase your goal! How many miles will Spartan Nation go? NEW this year, we are inviting Junior Spartans (12 and under) to participate by being active 25 mintues per day for at least 100 minutes per week. Baseball, Softball , Swimming, Running, Walking your 4-H calf, whatever you are participating in this summer, log those minutes! Run the Nation participants will also have the chance to register for run/walk events in Berwyn on May 31st, during the Muddy Creek Celebration on June 29th, Old Settler's on July 13th, and Mason City Homecoming on July 20th. These race miles can count towards your 25-mile goal each month. Online registrations information will be updated for each run/walk event as the schedules become available.
