By participating in this community event, you'll help create a brighter future for families in need as all of the race proceeds will support Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide safe, affordable housing for families in Johnson County. Come out to be part of a fun, memorable experience in support of a meaningful cause.
People of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate, and dogs on leashes and strollers are welcome. The race begins at 10 AM (EST) with packet pickup from 8:30 - 9:30 AM.
The cost to register is $30 for adults and $15 for children ages 6-12. Registration includes a Solar Eclipse Festival 5K T-shirt for those who register by March 23, 2024. Children 5 and under are free.
Did you know that Franklin, Indiana is smack dab in the middle of the path of totality for the total eclipse on Monday, April 8? In Festival Country, you’ll get more than two and a half hours of the eclipse, including nearly four minutes of totality. The eclipse is from 1:50 p.m. to 4:23 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024, with totality from approximately 3:06 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. (all times are Eastern time) Festival Country is planning an epic bash to celebrate the eclipse with activities all weekend and into Monday. This race event is being held on Eclipse Festival weekend as part of prior to the total eclipse on Monday, April 8.
This race begins and ends near Franklin's DriveHubler.com amphitheater, located at 237 W. Monroe Street in Franklin, where there will be live music, food trucks, a laser show, hot air balloon, a race, and more April 6, 7 and 8. There will also be eclipse posters and glasses available nearby at the visitor center at 66 S. Water St.
