2024 Registration Notes and Changes:

FOMO ENTRY - This is available for all categories except the Ida Tarbell.  What is the FOMO Entry?  This is a no frills, fear of missing out entry.  We want our event to be inclusive and want to provide an experience, but we also realize some of you have ENOUGH.  Enough t-shirts, water bottles, swag etc.  The FOMO Entry will get you a number, no frills, no swag, a number and chance to race.  To use this entry style and save $25 on your entry please use Coupon Code:  #FOMO2024  This coupon code is valid on all categories with the exception of The McKinney 250 and The Ida Tarbell.  Please note if the system prompts a T-shirt size, we will manually delete this on our end.Women's Athena category -  This is a newly added category for 2024.  Women of 160+ lbs are eligible for this category. The McKinney 250 - Some participants asked and want to make it happen.  The route is not complete yet, nor has the start time been worked backwards and made official.  We can say it will be a Friday Night Start on May 24, 2024  We are building a 250 mile route(or close to that)  This route will be a figure 8 style that will start Friday night, the first 125 will be semi-supported with a bag drop only likely at a natural spring.  The second 125 will be on route with the other distances and have access to aid stations.  There will be a mid ride wellness check in at the Ironworks Saturday morning.  If you want the Ultimate challenge this is for you!  We will limit participants on this for the first year to 50.  This route will be unmarked, and riders must have lights, gps navigation, and be able to complete this self supported.  We will of course allow you to par-take from driveway coolers, convenient stores, and natural springs as you see fit!  We are working on epic award for all Finishers, stay tuned for that.  If for some reason we do not get 10 Entries by 5/1/2024 for this route.  We will will be close registration and be in touch with the registered participants about options. We encourage all athletes to choose the category that they feel will give them the greatest challenge but a huge sense of accomplishment upon completion!

Route Releases:  We hope to have routes ready and released by 12/15.  We've already started the design process, but have to ride, drive and discuss with Township's, municipalities and PennDOT, before releasing.  We are currently investigating a summit finish about 1 mile from the start line instead of the BMX track for 2024!

We Plan to limit the 3rd edition of the RGR to 350 participants so register early to guarantee your spot and avoice price increases.

Check out the RIDE with GPS event page.  Here you can find all the routes.  Roughneck Gravel Roubaix Event Page

All Races will be started on a gun time, meaning each person will be given the same start time.  While you will cross a timing mat at the start, this is for participant tracking only.   All participants will receive a custom finishers medal upon completion. All Racers will have an intermediate timing check point to cross, this will help us to better track everyone. We reserve the right to combine and delete categories.

Come join us in the Valley that changed the world!  Titusville is home of the Modern Production Oil Well, Drake Well.  On every route you will get to experience some of the same gravel roads that the Roughnecks working in the oil fields experienced then and now!

Check out www.oilvalleyendurance.com for information on where to stay, what to do, and exciting news about Northwestern Pennsylvania's Premier Gravel Race.

We will again start at the Titusville Ironworks.  From here all 6 unique routes will roll out of Titusville with a police escort, it will be less than One mile until you are on the gravel.

All of the routes will boast an 80% or more gravel to pavement ratio, traveling some very remote dirt roads.  Where likely the most traffic you will see will be the wildlife.  Every route will travel past historic oil sites, abandon oil wells, and other unique vistas in the area.

The 6 routes will have been uniquely named to encompass the rich oil history of the valley that changed the world.  While the routes are not 100% finalized yet, we still want to ride the last 2 to ensure we love them and verify our GPS routes.  We plan to mark all the routes as well as possible, we will have volunteers at every major road crossing, and will provide gps routes from strava and ridewithgps.com.  We can tell you that the distances will not be less than the following:

The McKinney:  The McKinney 250 is going to be an epic route, for those of you looking for the ultimate challenge.  Our plan is to keep this route the same year after year, so you can chase your records and we can establish course records on this route!

The Current Route:  McKinney 250 - Please note this is subject to change as we continue to vet and refine this route.

 Here are the gritty details:

This is a figure 8 route, riders will come back through the Titusville Ironworks to check in and resupply for the second 125 miles.  This is a self-supported unmarked course.  Riders must download the route, riders must have lights, riders must plan to have no aid stationsThe first 125 miles will have 3 bag drops.  Riders are responsible for supply nutrition and supplies for their bags.  We will have bags available if you need us to supply the bags only.Bag Drop approximate mile markers:  22.7, 61.8, and 100Each Drop will have a water jug, aside from drop 2 this is at a natural springRiders are allowed to accept outside support from friends, residents, gas stations, etc.If you choose to have a friend/support crew.  They MUST supply that support to everyone.
