Shannon Fernandes, the organizer of Rami's Heart Covid Walk to Remember in Fall River, Massachusetts, is walking for the third year in honor of her two beloved uncles, Jack and Ronnie Fernandes. In 2022, the walk commemorated the late Jack Fernandes, who tragically lost his battle with Covid-19 on December 31, 2020. Jack was not only Shannon's loving uncle but also a cherished husband, father, brother, papa, and friend to many.
Unfortunately a year later, in 2023, the walk also paid tribute to the memory of Ronnie Fernandes, who succumbed to Covid-19 on November 15, 2022. Ronnie, like Jack, was not only Shannon's beloved uncle but also a devoted husband, father, big brother, pa, and friend to many.
The purpose of this walk extends beyond honoring Shannon's uncles; it aims to remember all those lost during this pandemic and more importantly preserve their legacy and ensure that they are never forgotten. As the participants gather, they carry the spirit of unity and remembrance, echoing the sentiment: "They will never walk alone."
Saturday April 13th 2024 we are hosting the in person walk starting at 10am am rain or shine on 3rd Ave in Belmar where it all began as well as at Bicentennial Park in Fall River, Massachusetts.
