The Purple 5k is back!!! The Purple 5K run continues to grow as it empowers the community to be actively involved in the fight against homelessness, poverty, and addiction in our city. This fun run/walk starts and ends in downtown Billings under Skypoint and take participants through the hospital corridor and north elevation neighborhoods of Billings.
The 2019 Purple 5K brought nearly 700 participants to our downtown in support of Spare Change for Real Change. Funds have been used to aid the MAAP (Motivated Addiction Alternative Program) — a collaborative program intended to move people from addiction and cyclical negative behavior through a continuum of assistance and treatment, designed to give people the hope and motivation needed for recovery and transformation.
Over the last 10 years, this event has grown such that, as of this year, the Spare Change for Real Change program has raised over $130,000 that has been put towards work to alleviate homelessness through education, housing, social services, treatment/rehabilitation, and re-integration.
SHIRT DEADLINE: To guarantee you have a shirt ON race day- Please Register by April 14, 2024.
PACKET PICKUP & REGISTRATION: Wednesday, April 24, 2024, 9am to 4pm, Thursday, April 25, 2024 9am to 4pm, and Friday, April 22, 2022, 12pm to 3pm. Located at the DBA office (102 N. 29th St.)
