Old School Pumpkin Run and Chase County Courthouse

The 5k run/walk will start and finish in front of the 150 year old Chase County Courthouse in Downtown Cottonwood Falls, Kansas.  The course runs on the city streets of Cottonwood Falls which are flat and mostly paved.  The course provides a tour of the county seat of Chase County and will finish with a run though downtown with a great view of the court house at the finish line.

The 1K run/walk will also start in front of the Courthouse and circle the block the Courthouse sits on and finish in front of the Courthouse.

The 1K will begin and finish before the 5K begins.

Both of these runs are part of a two day celebration marking the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Chase County Courthouse.  The runs will kickoff a day long celebration on Saturday Oct 7 which will include Courthouse Tours, live music throughout the day leading up to a Michael Martin Murphy concert at 7 pm, food trucks will be positioned downtown through the day, there will be a beer garden downtown, a quilt show will be held at the Old Elementary School and courthouse displays will be various merchants throughout the downtown area.
