Join North Aquatics Club for the first annual Bubble Run, a fun, pet and family friendly event to benefit NAWS and NAC. NAWS is a 501(c)3 no-kill humane society with a mission to change the face of animal welfare. North Aquatics Club Sharks, another 501(c)3 organization, is a competitive swim team for children ages 5-18 serving the Lincoln-Way community.
The Bubble Run event is a run walk/run covering a 2k loop on the trails across the street from NAWS (9992 Grotovsky Drive, Mokena, Ill.) There will be food, prizes, a DJ, and activities, so bring out the whole family (including the pets!) to have a good time and support two great organizations. Registration ($20 for adults, $15 for children) includes a tee-shirt and other event-day goodies (while supplies last.)
Stay tuned for information as we get closer to the event.
About the course: The run/walk route follows paved trails around three ponds east of 104th Avenue and north 190th Street in Mokena. The route is mostly flat with very few up or down-hill sections. While the trail is paved, we do advise all participants to use caution, especially those wishing to run, because there are sections of trail with rough surfaces, uneven pavement, and other potential tripping hazards such as cracks and vegetation. For the safety of all participants, we ask that pets remain restrained during the event.
