On September 14, 2024 at 8:30am we will kick off our 2nd annual fun 5k color run in Glendive, Montana. You will have the chance to walk, run, or dance your way through the colors of the rainbow in Makoshika State Park. This event is meant for ALL ages. Your excursion will start at Makoshika State Park's amphitheater and head down rolling hills to catch views of the amazing badlands. Day of registration and check-in is from 7:30-8:15am on September 14th. Make sure to stick around afterwards for the Makoshika Music and Arts Festival.
All proceeds will go to the Makoshika Wellness Kids Culinary Program. This program helps kids gain confidence in the kitchen. We work with kids, ages 7 to 13, on life skills such kitchen safety, reading recipes, measurements, math skills, various cooking skills, nutrition, and teamwork. These lifelong skills are taught by a local registered dietician. This will be our fourth year doing this program and it takes place during the school year on Fridays. This event will help offset the rising costs of food, which will help with keeping the program affordable for families.
