Mr. Frog's Wild Run is an out and back course following scenic paved country roads just outside the historic town of Murphys. Both races leave Feeney Park and follow Pennsylvania Gulch Road on a gradual downhill descent for about 3/4 mile. The next 3/4 mile is mostly level with a few gently rolling hills to the 5k turnaround. The 5k runners will then follow the reverse direction with the final uphill push to the finish back at the park.
The 10k runners will continue up along Pennsylvania Gulch Road and this is where the fun really begins! Shortly after the 5k turnaround, the road narrows, the canyon steepens and the real hills begin. For the next 1.5 miles the runners will ascend some steep stair step hills up the shaded canyon road following Peppermint Creek to the 10k turnaround, a climb of around 800 feet. Then it's back down the way they came with the same uphill finish as the 5k runners. Aid stations will be at both the 5k and 10k turnarounds.
Preregistrants(by 4/12/24) will receive an event t-shirt.
