LAKE ALMANOR MILE HIGH 100 SET FOR JUNE 15TH
The 41st annual Mile High 100 bike ride will return Saturday, June 15, 2024, sponsored by the Almanor Recreation and Park District in Chester, CA. Three routes will showcase the beauty and tranquility of Lake Almanor with amazing views of Lassen Peak.
Distances are 33 miles, 68 miles and 100 miles. The metric century and full century rides feature routes venturing east to Lassen County via Highway 147 and County Road A-21, including a full rest stop at the Walker Mansion in Westwood (home of Paul Bunyan and his Blue Ox, Babe). All routes include fully-stocked rest stops, rider support, catered lunch and beverages (including a complimentary post-ride beer from Timber House Brewing). All riders will also receive a commemorative T-shirt.

The Mile High 100 is one of the Almanor Recreation and Park District’s largest fundraising event and all proceeds benefit District programs and events, as well as capital improvement projects, with an emphasis on recreation, parks and trails. Riders are treated well with local artisans and merchants providing food at rest stops, and a catered meal at the finish. Everyone registered online by June 10th gets an event T shirt in the correct size! Day before/Day of registration will be available at a bike shop in Chester, but T shirt sizes are not guaranteed.
SAG vehicles patroling the route keep riders within easy access of supplies and mechanical help, and light traffic on the fully paved routes lets riders focus on the amazing views and perfect weather.
Start and finish are at 101 Meadowbrook Loop in Chester, CA, with a mass start at 7:00 am on June 15, 2024. Registration will be available starting at 6:00am on event day, with a limited number of event t-shirts available. To ensure the correct shirt size, register online prior to the close of registration on June 10th!
