The Maraton De Santiago is the largest national sports event in Chile, taking place in Santiago. It includes a marathon, a half marathon and a 10k race, all of which have been measured and certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). The event has also been accepted by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), and every year the number of participants is increasing, with local runners from Chile and international athletes from abroad. The Santiago Marathon has become the largest marathon in the region.

This was my first marathon, loved it! Great organization, well prepared for high temperatures. Crowd was almost everywhere. There were some great events around this marathon. Specially the bands and dj that were located on strategic places were very uplifting! Good after care!
Great route through the nice part of this city. Nicely build with some relaxed climbs and the las 10k all downhill! The only boring part was from km 32 to km 38. Not to bad.
