This will be the seventh edition of the Maple City Century and we’re setting out to make this the best yet! We'll have some exciting new changes to the route, but you will see some of the staples still in there. This ride has more gravel roads than most of the rides in our area. There are two routes to choose from and each offers scenic, challenging, and rewarding terrain. The full century takes you all the way to the New York border along the Delaware River, through multiple farms, and winds you through many hardwood forests. The metric century ride follows much of the same route as the full century, but with a shortcut in the middle to shave off some of the biggest climbs. Every rider gets a post-ride meal included with their entry and additional meal tickets can be purchased for friends and family. We also have a special gift for each rider that is included. Each route is fully supported with sag vehicles and rest stops. The rest stops are filled with water, hydration drinks, food, candy, cookies, etc. You can pick-up/drop clothing and your own foods if you wish.
This ride is best completed on a cyclocross or gravel bike, but a mountain bike or road bike can do it. There are sections on both the Metric and full Century routes that are quite rough and not comfortable on road bikes or vintage bikes, but they’re completely rideable.
Scarfallotos's Towne House Diner will be hosting our after-ride meal and hangout on their new outdoor patio. They're full menu will be availabel for you to choose from and we're working on a local beer sponsor as well. EVERY rider gets a free meal and beverage after the ride. We're working on a local coffee roaster to have fresh bean juice at the start line for everyone as well.
