Lagoa Swimrun

The Lagoa Swimrun returns for another anticipated edition, showcasing one of the best courses in the sport, as voted by swimrunners. Set along the stunning Algarve coast, this race offers a series of challenging swims and runs amidst some of the most breathtaking coastal views. The course features a unique blend of scenic beauty and demanding terrain, influenced by weather and wind conditions. Athletes will begin at the Ermida da Senhora da Rocha and run the Seven Hanging Valleys route, named Europe's best hiking destination. The course winds through cliffs, rock formations, and hidden beaches that are only accessible by sea, such as the iconic Benagil Cave and Carvalho Beach. The race concludes in the charming fishing village of Ferragudo, adding a picturesque and historic end to the challenging course. It's the perfect chance as well to explore the Algarve’s stunning coastline at its best during spring, with blooming landscapes and an average water temperature of 18°C.
