Jane's Fight Fund donates about $20,000 per year to local cancer patients with the help of our North Country party-people. To date, we have donated $119,000 since the concept began June 30, 2017 (Jane's birthday).
This 5K run/Walk is for cancer this is the 3rd year we have had this 5K in honor of my dad ,Gerald Collette (Jerry) . All proceeds go to " The Janes fight fund " which was created by Jane and Brannoin Sample. This organization donates money to cancer patients three times a year and to three recipients each round.
We will start at Rainbow Wedding & Banquet Hall, take a tour around downtown Altona, through Feinburgh Park, and back to our Brookside Barn for pizza.

Race capacity is set at 175, so do not delay in registering! To keep things running smoothly, we will be doing the following:
● Bib pickup will be held inside our White Room at Rainbow Wedding & Banquet Hall.
●On-site registration is an option, but pre-registration is preferred.
●Brannoin will be the official unofficial time keeper....that being said, if you are serious about your times, you should have your own timekeeping method.
Cost to register is $20 online ($25 after 8/10 /23 and on site the day of the fun run ) and all proceeds of this race benefit Jane's Fight Fund. In addition to community members generously organizing their own fundraising efforts to donate to our shared cause, this specific event is inspired and initiated by Teena Collette and her family. Teena's father, Jerry, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2005, later turning to bone cancer. After having intermittent instances of remission, his battle has ended peacefully in 2021. Jerry was a recipient of Jane's Fight Fund in October of 2020. Being inspired by Jane's Fight Fund, the Collette family is helping to organize this event as a way to give back and contribute--we thank them!
Following the run/walk, The Chinese Auction will continue . everyone is invited to stay in our White Room for pizza and and snacks.
