Interclub Masters Challenge 5K

The Masters Challenge 5K is a friendly but spirited competition between Lower Hudson Valley Running Clubs. This year, Rockland Road Runners will be hosting the event at Rockland Lake.  We meet at Parking Field near the pavilion and swimming pool. Enter via the North entrance to the park, off of Rte 9W.

Date and Time

The race is on Sunday 1st September at 8:15 AM.  The toll booths start collecting parking fees at 8:00 AM, so plan to arrive by 7:30 AM to allow time to check in and warm up.  No parking fees or tickets will be assessed if you are already inside. 

Course

The course starts in the parking lot and makes one clockwise loop around the lake on the paved path to finish in front of the pavilion. The course was USATF-certified in 2012 [NY12004JRG].

Post Race

This is an informal event, and a great way to spend an morning among like-minded runners. We'll have some food after the run, while the Club leaders put their heads together to argue over agree about the results. No alcohol is allowed in the park.

You don't have to be the fastest - the scoring system rewards strength in numbers - so please come along to swell the ranks.
