HD Media is thrilled to announce the Highlighter Run, a vibrant 5k race aimed at raising awareness for Mental Health. The event will take place at Barboursville Park on May 25th, starting at 8:00 AM.
The Highlighter Run is not your average 5k. Participants will be doused in a rainbow of colors as they make their way through the course, symbolizing the importance of embracing diversity and supporting mental health. This family-friendly event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels.
While we want to create awareness for all mental health needs, HD Media’s main focus for the run is to raise funds to benefit Veterans who struggle with mental health issues. We believe that mental health matters, in the Veteran and Civilian communities. Through the Highlighter Run, we hope to break stigmas, and promote a sense of camaraderie. By partnering with the Prestera Foundation, we aim to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by mental health challenges.
Registration for the event is now open, and participants can sign up by contacting The Herald-Dispatch to secure their spot. Participants are encouraged to wear their most colorful attire and bring their friends and family to join in the festivities.
