Proceeds from this race go to the Hal Canfield Endowment Scholarship fund. Scholarships are distributed each year to local graduating high school athletes for college tuition to honor KTC Founder Hal Canfield.
Registration & Entry Fee (NO REFUNDS and NO TRANSFERS):Registration and Pricing: AGE BASED PRICING! Cost for ages 2-12 through is $10 and cost for ages 13-17 is $15. Age based pricing is only available through early online registration and will not be available on race day. Deadline to register using this pricing structure is June 1st. Cost for ages 18 and over is $20 through May 21. May 22-June 12th is $25 and cost for everyone on race day is $30. No Shirt - Deduct $5 anytime. KTC Members are eligible for $5 discount.
Race Day Schedule:
5:45 pm - Bib/T-shirt and race day registration opens6:45 PM - Day of race registration ends 7:00 PM - Kids7:15 PM- Women ((Rolling Start. Actual time will be after Youth Mile is finished)7:30 PM- Men (Rolling Start. Actual time will be after Female Mile is finished)7:45 PM - AWARDST-shirts: Short-sleeved, unisex shirts. Please note our new shirt policy: Anyone registering after June 1st will receive shirts while supplies last. The shirt order will be placed on June 2nd and when the inventory runs out in the RunSignUp system then there will be no more shirts. No re-orders.
Awards: Race Day Awards to the top 10 male/female in each category:
Open (Fastest Finisher Age 39-under)
Masters (Fastest Finisher Age 40-49)
Grandmasters (Fastest Finisher age 50 and over)
(Please note this is different from the normal KTC race award structure)
KTC Grand Prix Points are calculated using the Grand Prix scoring system using normal overall and age group finishes as defined here
Grand Prix Points Team Competition: The Hal Canfield Mile is on the 2024 Team Competition schedule. 2024 Grand Prix Points awarded winners in various categories and age groups. Points accumulate throughout the year. KTC recognizes the top 10 men and women in the Grand Prix series at the New Year’s Day 5K on January 1, 2025. Remember, to be eligible for Grand Prix Points, participants must be a member of KTC and must volunteer for at least 3 KTC races throughout the year.
Refreshments: Post Race Refreshments will be provided for participants only.
Results: Complete results will be available on the KTC Website at www.ktc.org. Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, strollers and bicycles are not allowed on the course.
