Aistriu Mayhem 2024 is 10 Years Young!

Aistriu Mayhem Continues!  The 2024 Edition of Mayhem is now scheduled for Saturday, 3/16/2024. 

MAYHEM RETURNS IN 2024...

Can you believe it? It's our 10th anniversary! For 2024, Aistriu Mayhem is being held under USA Cycling event permit 2024-8457.  All Cat 1/Pro categories require an annual USA Cycling Mountain Bike license.  All other categories must have either an annual USA Cycling Mountain Bike License or a one-day license. 

The course is about 7 miles.  Also, there is a Junior First-Timers category for those who have not raced or are not quite ready for a Cat 3 race and a novice endurance 2.5-hour race for those who are not yet ready to do a total of 4 hours. 

Every effort is made to have racers complete the race within the Target Race Duration Cat 3: 40-70 minutes, Cat 2: 70-100 minutes, and Cat 1: 80-120 minutes.

The YMCA Camp Ockanickon offers an excellent venue for the Mayhem Mountain Bike Race. The course has singletrack (there are roots), double track, and fire road along with bridge crossings, gravel, and a short but pitched hill climb ("Blueberry Hill") and an off camber descent and includes the area known as "The Village."

The origin of this race continues by getting out and having fun by encouraging those new to the sport to experience the race atmosphere on a relatively non-technical course but still introducing them to the terrain they may encounter as they progress, and by providing seasoned racers a fast venue to get their legs a tune-up as their race seasons begin.

Pro Open Cash payout will be proportional to entries in the class. Top 3 with 10 or fewer entries and Top 5 with 11 or more entries in a class for Men/Women: Minimum $200 (1), $150 (2), $100 (3), $75 (4), and $50 (5).

Endurance Cash Payout will be proportional to entries in the class. The top 3 with 10 or fewer entries and the Top 5 with 11 or more entries in a class for Men/Women: are the Top 3: $125 (1), $100 (2), and $75 (3).

Awards for Cat 1, Cat 2, and Cat 3 classes will be medals only.

Endurance is Pre-registered only!

Day-of registration is available for all other events for an additional $10, cash only! 

Day-of registration will close 20 minutes before each category!
